Bellevue College Dance Company’s performance

Performances include dancers choreographed by Claudia Lawrey (HAAW member) accompanied by Hungarian composer, Viktor Molnár.

Viktor Molnár was requested to blend traditional Hungarian folk-dance music and music reflecting his generation’s contemporary trends in Hungary. With the collaboration of young American dance students, traditional Hungarian folk dance is merged with contemporary American dance. This piece is an exploration of the role that folk music and dance play in connecting people across nations, generations, cultures, and trends.
