Learn Hungarian folk dances!

by Tibor Horvath

Following our Christmas break, Forgatós has returned to our regular rehearsal schedule, Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. until noon. We’re excited that some members that had held off on returning have started to come back to practices. Taking into account the difficulty of dancing couple’s dances during this time of an easily transmitted virus, the entire ensemble is currently working on men’s dances from Mezőség, including the korcsos and the sűrű legényes. We hope to include these men’s dances in a new choreography we’re preparing, when conditions allow us to do so.

Forgatós has weekly practices, currently at the Phinney Neighborhood Association, 6532 Phinney Ave N, in Seattle. If you are interested in joining our group, feel free to contact us at forgatos.seattle@gmail.com for more information.
