Not long ago it was quite difficult to imagine how to move dance practices online, but we decided to give it a try anyway. This is a very new setting for us, and we are trying to adapt to the new circumstances.
Since most of us don’t have dance partners at home, we decided to start this season teaching men’s dances from Kalotaszeg. This dance, called “legényes” is a very sophisticated, virtuoso improvisational dance, we learn steps, rhythm, body-coordination. We are lucky to have Tibor Horváth as our instructor.
We are also trying to figure out how to teach singing online. While we are still learning how to use the programs to serve us best, we are delighted to see each other again, and dance together – even if we are separated in space.
Unfortunately we couldn’t figure out how to hold rehearsals for our chidren’s group yet. I hope we’ll find a good solution soon.
